Recruitment and training of potential foster carers, support for current carers to be able to effectively do their roles. This includes supervisions, training opportunities as well as following up with carers that may need additional support following issues with a placement.

Therapeutic Foster Care - Circle Program

The Circle Program is a therapeutic approach to foster care which aims to create better outcomes for children and young people in care through early intervention.

Foster Care

Foster Care provides a safe, nurturing home for children who are unable to live with their own family. Fully trained foster carers provide short, medium or long term periods of care and are supported by a foster care worker. There are many different Foster Care options including short term, long term and permanent, respite and emergency (overnight to long term). Find out more about foster care here.

Kinship Care

Kinship Care provides support to families who are caring for a child of a relative or friend who is unable to live with their own family at that time. Information, advice and support is provided to help Kinship carers in their caring role.

Leaving Care

Leaving Care assesses the needs of young people leaving care without family support and assists them in the transition to independence. The program assists young people with information, advice, support and, in some cases, case work support.

Therapeutic Residential Care

Therapeutic Residential Care is for young people aged 11 to 17 who have lived through neglect and abuse in their day-to-day lives.
